For ages 18 to adult Wed., Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Instructor: Brenda Fager Cost: FREE for the 6-class series Through the use of single concept classes, students will learn or increase their understanding of theater concepts such as "the ensemble", " script analysis" and "character development" through scene study from specific genres: melodrama, drama, comedy, morality plays, improvisation, tragedy, etc. Each class will be independent of all the others and include a fun student performance at the end of each class. In addition, each class will include an aspect of the actor's physical and vocal preparation in the form of improv games and exercises as well as a short introduction each week to a different school of thought: Stanislavsky, Uta Hagen, Spolin and Improv, etc. Students do not have to attend all classes but are encouraged to do so.
