"The Gardener" is a documentary featuring Les Quatre Vents ( The Four Winds), the 20 acre gardens of Frank and Anne Cabot situated in La Malbaie, beside the St. Lawrence River. It is widely considered one of the most ambitious private gardens in North America, if not the world.
Few people get to see this special place, usually only open four days a year to guided tours of only about 22 people. So, the next best thing is this 'arm-chair' tour of the Cabot's TWENTY-FOUR garden experiences. An odyssey of Nepalese rope bridges, rioutous floral displays( including 10 ft high delphiniums and Himalayan Blue Poppies), Japanese and other specialty gardens, reflecting pools, waterfalls, lily ponds, and so much more.
This film was one of the Dietrich's Summer Film Festival's most popular movies. So if you missed it, you have another chance to see it, and if you saw it, you might well enjoy coming to see it again for free!
