Self-Publishing: What I Thought vs What I Learned

Saturday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m.

Presenter: Jeanne Moran

Admission: free

Bolstered by her early success publishing short pieces, former Nicholson resident Jeanne Moran hoped to land a traditional contract for her first novel. Two years later, disappointed but still determined to get her book in the hands of readers, she climbed the steep learning curve into the world of self-publishing. That award-winning historical novel, Risking Exposure, was followed by the picture book Mikey and the Swamp Monster and a second novel, The Path Divided, all self-published. Join Jeanne on Saturday April 27th at 11:00 as she shares what she learned about the ins and outs of the publishing industry and why self-publishing can be a viable alternative for many writers. A book signing will follow. A portion of each sale will go to the Dietrich.

Call the Dietrich at 570-996-1500 for more information.
