To Dust tells the tale of a Hasidic cantor, who is distraught by the untimely death of his wife. As he struggles to find solace in his religion, he grows increasingly haunted by visions of her corpse. Convinced that her soul will suffer until her body returns to dust, he decides that to stop his feverish spiral he must seek an understanding of the physical processes of her decay. His search leads to a bumbling biology professor at the local community college and their macabre moonlit misadventures growing ever more perilous.
