Moderated by Dr. Marnie Hiester Idec with  Dr. Heidi Manning, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Misericordia University; Paula Eckert, P & G Mehoopany Plant Employee and Labor Relations Leader; and Dr. Linda Auker, marine ecologist and Assistant Professor of Biology at Misericordia University.

Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story depicts the unbelievable true story of Hedy Lamarr, the screen siren who was called “the most beautiful woman in the world” and starred alongside Hollywood giants like Spencer Tracy, Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable. Her impact was far greater due to her invention of a wireless form of communication called “frequency hopping” that would help create a secret radio system that allowed Allied forces to torpedo Nazi U-Boats.  This invention would eventually go on to revolutionize mobile communications all over the world, a feat that would directly lead to the creation of secure communications for wireless phones, Bluetooth, and more.
