The story of 40-something primary school teacher Antionette who has been looking forward to a weekend getaway with her secret love Vladimir. After he cancels their vacation to go on a trip in the Cévennes National Park with his wife and daughter, spurned Antoinette impulsively decides to follow them. Completely unversed in the ways of the wilderness and paired with an unlikely companion –an obstinate but evidently wise grey donkey named Patrick –she discovers much more than she ever bargained for.
