Please bring your own blanket or chair to the performance Something wicked this way comes...” -One of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, Macbeth is a swiftly moving nightmare, which follows the terrifying rise and fall of the Macbeths, a Scottish lord and lady, turned ruthless King and Queen. Their unquenchable ambition turn them into brutal murderers consumed by the dark arts. Is it fate? Is it personal responsibility? How far would you go for ultimate power? Recommended for ages 12 and up, the production is extremely accessible, employing Gamut’s unique educational engagement style
of combining Shakespeare’s original text with modern “narrations” to bridge the most famous scenes from the p lay together into an easy-to-understand story. This dynamic show is performed by five highly–talented actors, runs 90 minutes, and features dramatic sword fights. The performance will be followed by a talk-back discussion with the audience.
