Hallock House
71 Elm Street 1904
The home of lumberman John E. Hallock is a textbook example of Colonial Revival-style architecture, which flourished in the area in the early 1900s. Highlights include the symmetrical facade, full-width one-story porch with Doric order columns and spindlework balustrade, Palladian window centered on the second floor, square pilasters, hipped roof with overhanging eaves and curved brackets, front gable dormer, and a widow's walk.
