Monster follows a single mother and her young son Minato who starts to behave strangely. She begins to feel that there is something terribly wrong. Discovering that a teacher is responsible, she storms into the school demanding to know what's going on. But as the story unfolds through the eyes of mother, teacher and child, the truth gradually emerges. Monster shifts perspectives to recount events and surprises until the very end.
