Sweet Bean is a sweet, gentle film about a  Japanese baker who hires a endearing elderly woman to be his new assistant, and soon learns that she has a wonderful recipe for sweet red bean paste, a japanese delicacy. This small bakery serves pastries filled with her sweet  bean paste and the business takes off, until unexpected circumstances disrupt their plans.
